On June 21st Elli turned 5 years old! I can't believe it! On her birthday we left for vacation to the beach and Williamsburg with Katie and her family.
We started off the day with a birthday breakfast. Elli chose cookie crisp and cocoa puff cereal for her special meal. Then we were off to the beach.
It was windy and cool, but the kids had a blast. They loved jumping over the waves. Katie and I enjoyed remembering all the days we spent as kids growing up at Virginia Beach. It was fun to see our kids making some of the same memories.

Swimming with her cousins helped Elli to make huge strides in her swimming abilities on her birthday. She loved using goggles and couldn't stop going under water. Here are her and Kenton asking each other how many fingers they were holding up.
All in all it was a great trip...the beach, Jamestown, the pool, and even Busch Gardens! It was so much fun!

That looks like so much fun! Tell Ellie happy bithday for me--what a grown up little sweetheart. I also loved her choice for her birthday breakfast!
